The Build Off kids event comes to Aberdeen!

Kids and their family had a blast at the Build Off Early Learning Fun Fair on October 12th at the Shoppes at Riverside! Children’s imaginations were challenged as they tried to build the tallest structure out of Keva planks in hopes of winning great prizes. After testing their building expertise, kids explored the fun fair for art and science projects, and kids activities presented by a host of community organizations dedicated to early learning.

The Build Off Early Learning Fun Fair was a free community event organized by Child Care Action Council and supported by generous sponsors. A huge thank you to our sponsors for making this free event possible! Our presenting sponsors: Grays Harbor Community Foundation and Quinault Indian Nation. Community sponsors: Molina Healthcare, Shoppes at Riverside, Timberland Bank. Team Builder sponsors: Great NorthWest Federal Credit Union, GraysHarborTalk.com, and Vaughn Chopper Pumps.

Additionally, thank you to all of our activity partners for bringing such engaging early learning activities! This year, we had 15 activity stations filling the center stage area including: -Play, Learn & Grow by the Timberland Regional Library. -A book give away by South Sound Reading Foundation. -Wind Tunnel by Hands On Children's Museum -Arts and Crafty by Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Group -Sensory Board & Reading Activity with Raising A Reader. -Decorate your own hard hat with Habitat for Humanity of Grays Harbor. -Five interactive block building exhibits with BlockFest. - Facepainting and ghost making with the YMCA. -Touch tank and necklace making with the Westport Aquarium. -Trivia and coloring with the 2020 US Census. -Bounce house fun with Bounce About NW. - and, build your tallest structure out of Keva planks.

Thank you to the Shoppes at Riverside for providing the location space and excellent staff to support the event. Lastly, thank you to the many volunteers who helped make this event possible!
