Upcoming Free Family Event: The Build Off

Child Care Action Council hosts an early learning family fun fair at Lacey Community Center on August 22, 2018. With only a few weeks until school starts up again for Thurston County kids, Child Care Action Council will hold an early learning fun fair to bring play and learning together; energizing kids for the upcoming school year.

Jean Hill-Miller retires after 49 years in early learning

At the end of July, the staff at Child Care Action Council wished Jean Hill-Miller a happy retirement for her dedication to our mission for the past 10 years, and over 49 years working in early learning/childhood education! She will be greatly missed! We thank her for everything she has done to support children, families and their caregivers, and teachers over the years and we wish her the best in retirement.

Provider Spotlight: Rachel Smith

 Rachel Smith Shares her Early Achievers Story:

Before Early Achievers, I had little outside activities for the children other than the standard balls, trikes, wagons, and a small sandbox. By connecting with other providers, obtaining an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, and doing research for ways to improve my outdoor space -- the play area has been transformed.
